With all due respect to everyone in the East experiencing the winter storms...this snow is just out of the norm for me

Another storm and low temps brought the snow lower that usual. This is looking up the cross street at the end of my block.

Big Bear is up in this mountain range about 45 minutes without traffic. That is where they found that killer's burned truck. I'm sure he was down the mountain as soon as he started the fire...

Beautiful KG! At least you aren't shoveling it!

Must be nice to view it at a distance instead of up close and personal. I could get use to that. Beautiful scenery.

Simply Beautiful......look at those snow peaks. You certainly live in a serene looking place. Love the pix.

Thanks for looking. It has been a great place to live for the past 23 years! Within an hour to the beach, mountains (snow or no snow), Disneyland, Palm Springs, downtown Los Angeles, etc.

But alas, it is now 2 days later and the snow is pretty much gone. Cool There is still plenty of snow further back in the mountains at the ski areas.

Thought I had a previous post, but it must have gone bye-bye? I love seeing snow like that in the distance. Much better than up close and personal like we had this past weekend. Gorgeous pic.

Beautiful scenery - thanks for posting. Guess you had some excitement in your area this week. Glad it's over altho it's a sad situation.

Lucky -

Way too much excitement! It was bad enough when they thought he was in Big Bear, but where they spotted and confronted him in the cabin was even closer. Several people at work live in both areas and had not been home in a week.

What a delightful view KG. You get to see the snow without being quite as cold as you would be if you were up there with it.
