Hey Ga.Karen ..
I just thought of something funny, NO OFFENSE!!! Honey Boo Boo Child is to Georgia what Jersey Shore is to New Jersey!!!
That show is on tonight (The Honey Boo Boo Show). That's the closest I've ever got to Georgia! I don't understand why they have captions translating their speech!!! I understand what they're saying. It's not hard to understand, where they need to translate it for us Northerners! My goodness! If I can understand Paula Deen, then I shouldn't have any problem understanding Honey Boo Boo, right!! LMDAO!!!! Wink (Hey, Jersey Shore is just as bad, for sure!!) Wink

I remember when the Gotti family had a show on, they had captions because you couldn't understand the boys. Roll Eyes

Wavy, and this is NO OFFENSE also...I don't watch that kind of junk and watch very little tv due to my hearing loss. I have to have the sound up to at least 50 on most tvs to hear them....our newest tv I can hear at 40 on the volume.
I've seen a couple of articles about Honey Boo Boo...I feel sorry for that child! Roll Eyes Pathetic parents in my humble opinion! And I've only seen snipits of Jersey Shore stuff...like that idiot Snooky! I sure hope her baby can survive her....and I hope she's saved enough money to hire a nanny!

No offense here either.........the same applies to Turtle Man and some of those other inane shows. I do watch tv, but not that stuff, it embarrasses me because of the image it projects of us. Those people are making a fortune and I'm proud for them but I'm also a proud southerner who doesn't like to see my homeland portrayed in such a manner.

I get mad at the news media......anytime there's something bad to happen, the first person they find to interview is someone with one tooth in their head and no vocabulary.

Never watched Jersey Shore or any of that stuff either. I do watch House Hunters and HH International, and I have difficulty understanding the English, Aussies and New Zealanders sometimes. And they say WE have an accent Big Grin

I'm really boring with my tv watching...at least to most people. I watch CNN and some of the evening programs there...but can't stand that guy from England. I watched as much of the olympics as I could stand (got sick of vollyball) and I usually watch the better golf tournaments. Oh, and Jay Leno especially on Mon. nights when he does HEADLINES!, some of those as soooo funny.
I used to watch the Today show but mostly quit after Katie left and Oprah...I can't get her network so that's out. I'll probably watch Katie's new show when it hits to see what it's like.

I like some of the PBS English mystery shows on Sunday night - particulary Inspector Lewis. My tv gives me the option to select Caption so I normally have to switch that on to catch some of their words.
