No picture, but I had a Rose Breasted Grossbeak on Sunday, and this morning there was a catbird on the suet feeder.. Otherwise its just the usual house finch, house sparrows and the mockingbird. And the ever present pigeons.

I don't mind the birds, squirrels, red ground squirrels, chipmunks, wild turkey and even the deer at the feeders. But when the deer eat my lily bulbs before I even get a chance to see them.....gosh darn it, I get perturbed.

I don't have pics to share at the moment, but I have lots and lots of wretched rabbits that visit, sparrows, robins, mourning doves, brown thrushes, meadowlarks, and pheasants. Those are the regulars.

Now and then I'll see finches or a crow.

One morning I looked out the window and saw a fawn grazing not 30 feet from the sleeping dogs.

    Such great pics!

Hey NYLady....I had the same at my feeders on Sunday, except for the pigeons...a Rosebreasted Grosbeak at my sunflower feeder was the first time I'd ever seen one.
the Catbird kept flying over my head until I finished putting out the new suet cakes and walked a reasonable distance away.
I noticed a House Wren building a nest under my garage door eave...it's a good thing we use that for storage and not daily car usage!

But I've smelling tooo much Skunk lately....
I do HOPE that I won't get closer to get a photo of one!
And I hope they haven't taken up residence in the woodpile or under the deck!

Here's a pic of the little buck I took last year thru the kitchen window.

This year I'm too busy chasing them out of the fenced house yard to take pics. We have a little herd of 8 deer that are here most all the time and are not very afraid of us anymore since we have no dogs. I have to go out on the deck and yell at them when they come in the yard. They love my lilacs, maple trees, and in the fall always eat the sedum Autumn Joy right down. I like them around but wish they'd be satisfied with what's outside my house yard!

We also feed the birds year round so have several different types, DH saw the first hummer the other day. I always enjoy seeing the two types of woodpeckers we have, they are so pretty with the red on their heads. Lots of butterflies in the summer. Also occasionally see black bear, moose, coyotes, and fox. Have cougar, bobcats, occasionally grizzlies, and probably other critters I don't see or want to see! Most of the 4 legged ones stay out of the house yard except those !@#$% deer!

Blooz...could you have lucked out and gotten a bluebird already?
I've had a bluebird house out for 3 years and seen nothing!
It also looks a little like a swallow....hard to tell from that distance.
Was it blue with a reddish breast?
