OOOHHH sssooo pretty! What is the first one? Why did the iris cost $250. Love the whirly gig. Guess I'm posting at the same time you are. The peach iris is beautiful. This message has been edited. Last edited by: silly bird,

the first is columbine. Last summer I passed someones house and there were bushels of Iris tubers, since I had passed it only a little bit I pulled over and the backed up, I was so concerned wacthing my sideview for traffiic that I backed into the mailbox and knocked it off the base. No damage to the mailbox or base, but I did almost $900. damage to my car. $250 is our deductable. There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments. Janet Kilburn Phillips

z9...not just one iris,LOL after that I took all they had after their insistance, gave away many and some I just tossed in the woods for spares, ya know just in case some of these died on me. Looks like they all grew even the ones in the woods, but not seeing many that look like they will bloom. There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments. Janet Kilburn Phillips

I never plant something new in just one place...just so I have another also! Maybe they will naturalize nicely in the woods for you & columbine also. Glad to see that > Thumbie is gardening! Wow what a special iris! Love the few I have. "Those that throw mud, lose ground!" :>)

I knew that, I was trying to be funny..didn't work again huh? I always take leftover seeds from plants, fruits and vegetables and throw them in the woods either for the birds or in the hopes that something might grow. 3 years ago I got a Papaya plant that grew 12ft tall but then a freeze killed it.This message has been edited. The white iris is beautiful...the ones in the woods may not bloom, could be too shady for them. They do like sun. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I've decided to quit my job, drop out of society, and wear live animals as hats."
