Where did you find double hollyhock seeds for $2? I have looked high and low for inexpensive seeds and never found them under $3.95 for 10. Do you want some of my singles seeds? THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Oh, I'm looking forward to this. Now, I just have to figure out when to plant them! In my climate, though, I'd expect that I could plant them any time. Got to get some things cleaned up in that area, though, beforehand. www.floridafarmgirlsworld.blogspot.com Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.

ok you talked me into it. i know, i'm easy.

Oh, they're beautiful! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I've decided to quit my job, drop out of society, and wear live animals as hats."

Oh so pretty!. Have seeds I've saved but every time I plant-the da-- woodchuck eats them down!
|
Those are beautiful........I have no place for them...plus here they always get powdery mildew. I love hollyhocks, and so do the bees! The color is so intense. I hope you get a lot of takers. I have a market basket of purple hyacinth bean seeds to give away. Maybe I need to start a new post! ve

Only 2 takers. There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments. Janet Kilburn Phillips

FFG, now is a good time to start them inside & then transplant out after last frost date. Most are bi-annuals so they may not bloom this year.
Do you have my addy? Ya'al should know by now if it's free I'm in! And about the purple blackberry lilie seeds...I'll have to look. I was surprised that I had one and it only had 3 pods on it. Just looked, yes, I have some I can share...and I already have your addy! "The soil is the source of life, creativity, culture and real independence." David Ben-Gurion

That's great that they bloomed the first year. Some do. I have your blackberry lily seeds in an envelope, but due to this nasty cold I doubt I will go any place for a couple of days. Don't need to expose everyone else to this! My addy should be in your pm box. THANK YOU! "The soil is the source of life, creativity, culture and real independence." David Ben-Gurion

got mine today. THANK YOU so much for sending them. did you know Hollyhocks were often planted next to outhouses long ago. that was so a lady could ask where the hollyhocks were... so much more lady-like than asking where the privy was.

Uuoh...I have hollyhocks next to my well house. We have been asked if the well house is an outhouse. But I had never heard that before. Every year that we had a bad storm the outhouse got relocated...wherever it got blown to, Dad would dig a new hole & use the dirt to cover the old hole. And I got my seeds the other day too. Just haven't felt like doing much on the puter! THANK YOU!This message has been edited. Last edited by: ga.karen, "The soil is the source of life, creativity, culture and real independence." I'm really concerned about planting the seeds now. With our crazy weather, they'd just sprout and start growing just like it was spring time. Besides, I have to wait a couple of weeks for my worker bee to get back into town to help me do some heavy work. Meanwhile, I'm guarding my seeds like the gold they are!!! www.floridafarmgirlsworld.blogspot.com Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
