This is Deutzia 'Chardonnay Pearls'. I saw this in a Proven Winners magazine about 6 years ago and and insisted on having them. They are in full bloom now and are gorgeous. We need to take out a large Leyland Cypress a few feet away, so as soon as that is gone, I'm going to plant Knockout Roses behind the deutzias.

These are he volunteer Japanese Painted Ferns that I planted near the pool bench. It's very bright in the picture but it only gets about 4-5 hours of sun a day. I didn't want ANY flowers near the bench because of the bees.

Lastly - I had to show off my favorite iris. This keeps it's foilage looking pretty all season long. Oh, and the flowers are pretty too.

Really nice pics! Love that deutzia. That's great that you found some volunteers for your bench area. So great to just keep filling in with what we already have.

I tried & tried to grow deutzia! I killed off a few! They always had winter die back for me! Your garden is charming my dear! I just love the early time of the gardening season! TFS
