I bought a green pepper plant that had two separate plants. While one is giving me green peppers the other is growing these....

Looks like a banana pepper but no way to know if its sweet or hot until you taste it!! Looks great, though.

They look like banana pepper to me too. They are mildly hot. Here is a picture that might be helpful. Look at the quarter in the picture and see if yours are about the same size in comparison.

I didn't know that banana peppers could also be hot until I bought some one year by mistake! Much prefer the mild sweet ones.

They definitely were hot ones. I'm not sure if they are banana peppers or not though. They are large not yellow, but a light green and the stems are light green as well not dark as in "still tryin's" pictures.

What about peppercini peppers?
They have the lighter colored stems.
