I don't go all out decorating the front of my house for every season or holiday. Some people do. I would like to add some interest during the long winter. I have some "snowflakes decoration" I bought a few yrs. ago. I think I will go on-line to get some more ideas.
I didn't decorate for fall yet. Probably won't. (I used to when I first moved here, and have since lost interest). I need to get back into the swing of things again, and that includes decorating the front of my house! Do you decorate for wintertime?

Decorate for the holidays, Halloween and Christmas.

I'm not very consistent with outdoor seasonal decor except for Christmas when we always put up some lights altho in recent years they've been less. Funny, how as one gets older those things seem more work than they're worth. I sometimes do fall decorating on the verandah. So far this year I've only hung a fall spray on the door and may not do more, not sure yet. We don't get any trick-or-treaters here in this rural location so not much incentive to decorate for Halloween.

I always do indoor decor for every season, it's sort of become a hobby since I retired - didn't have time for it before and am enjoying it.

i normally never decorate for halloween but had this couple out front thru thanksgiving a few years ago. the weather eventually got them and 'mr & ms burlingame' are now history.

i used to OD at christmas but, like you joyluck, the older i get the less i do. last year we didn't even do the one string of lights along the front roofline.. to my neighbors dismay.

he is the one who helps me in the garden, and goes nutz decorating his place for fall and christmas including, but not limited to, lights in trees.. a graveyard scene on his lawn.. big blow up santa on the roof ~ the kind that is all collapsed the next morning and needs blowing up again. one year he convinced us to put up lights.. and said he would do it for us. every evening i came home from work, he had added more strings of lights.. on the roof, in shrubs, etc. it was fun and i never knew what to expect. alas, that was pre-digital camera days.

I decorate my mailbox for fall and for Christmas...very little decorating anywhere else. The front porch stays decorated from spring until after Christmas, just seasonal stuff. I put up the fall stuff yesterday...not much. No one ever sees it anyway, so it's just for me!

I no longer decorate for Christmas either.....agree, the older you get, the more work it seems.

I used to decorate outside for every holiday/season...but haven't in recent years. I may get back into when I finally locate all of my goodies.
Some place I have a blow up skeleton that I used to always sit in our swing with his arm around the big blow up pumpkin! These are all the old...blow it up with your mouth type..OLD!

Except for Christmas, when I can still convince DH to hang a few lights, I limit my decorating to a seasonal door wreath. My Xmas one is fake fir boughs with a light dusting of fake snow and natural pine cones. I put a sparkly red bow on it during December and remove the bow for Jan/Feb, converting it to a "winter" wreath.

I have the "September" wreath up now, which consists of grape leaves and frosted grape clusters in grapey shades of green, dull red, and purple on a twisted grapevine base. It's a few notches less colorful than the summer wreath with it's bright pastel-colored flowers and greenery which doesn't seem right for the more subdued palette of September's plantings.
Next month, I'll hang the "autumn" wreath - grapevine base with dried oak leaves in gold and orange.
In March, the "spring" wreath goes up... Forsythia blooms accented with a cluster of purple/yellow/pink pansies.
And then, the cycle repeats.

I'm getting lazy as I get older. I only put up my deer and snowman (lighted) for Christmas on hte front porch. Like a lot of you I used to do a lot more. Enjoyed it.

I have a large decorative Halloween flag, a smaller garden Halloween flag, a big wooden pumpkin and black cat that I made.. and a wreath on the door.. That's it this year. Don't mind putting the decorations up, its taking them down that's a pain.
