wow.. those things are HUGE. bet they do make a comeback. one would think something that big couldn't be all that fragile.

ooooooh poor things. Sure are healthy looking, and yes, they will recover until you have a freeze, then bye bye. Do you dig the tubers and store over winter or just take your chances? I leave mine in ground and take my chances.

I see green tomatoes too.......yum...are you gonna fry them?

Yes, I will sweep off the mulch and pull back the landscape fabric.. the bulbs are 3 years old..and the summer leaves were even bigger.. Just glad that was the extent of the damage besides a piece of aluminum that came off the house. We were lucky.

Those *were* some beautiful plants but it could have been much, much worse. Glad for you it wasn't.
