This is one of my ONLY non-knockouts or climbers. I think it's a grandifloras but not sure.

This one is my 'Pink Promise' and the blooms are HUGE

This is the SAME rose, just a different branch. It's amazing how different they look, but both are beautiful.

Your roses and clematis are beautiful. My Mom loved roses, so I have a few. I always enjoy seeing them bloom. Your pictures are great...I think I will do that when my roses are blooming. Thank you for sharing.

Oh so beautiful, FM! I gave away the last of my spindly things last year, except for one tiny plant I moved to the sunniest part of my yard. It bloomed once in its old spot--one deep red flower, and OMG did it smell nice! But it started dwindling, getting smaller every year...too much shade for it! I hope I'm able to nurse it back to health. Thank you for sharing yours!!

Thank you. I enjoy smelling them every time I walk down our steps to the lower deck.

BUT, always make sure to look inside the rose before smelling. I "sniffed" last year and got a bunch of thrips or other bugs!

Absolutely beautiful - both pictures!!Muddyshoes, you could'nt get in there to smell that lovely fragrance because my big nozzel was stuffed in there - taking care of avoiding any possible thrips that might be lurking (lol).

Wow! Beautiful! It's not easy to find a Rose nowdays that smells like, well...a rose.

My father planted Red Rose bushes on either side of our front porch when I was little.
They had that very strong Rose scent and every time I smell that it transports me right back to the 50's on my front porch.
