This summer I plan on cutting my veggie garden in half... partially because I'm working on rejuvinating my soil, and I also plan on traveling quite a bit. Can anybody recommend tomato plants that are very disease resistant? I usually plant atleast 8 different varieties. I never really paid close attention to disease resistance because I plant so many of them. Last year, if one or two became diseased - I would treat them, or just simply pull out the plant to spare the others. This summer - I wont be around to keep such a close eye on them. My neighbors will take care of watering, picking anything that's ripe, etc.... Since I'm down-sizing, I wont be planting so many plants, maybe two or three different varieties. I live in Northern NJ - so if anybody can suggest a few disease resistant plants - I appreciate it. It doesn't matter if the fruit is ugly looking, or what the plants look like - as long as they taste good! Thanks

Most all plant diseases can be traced to a soil that is simply not healthy enough and therefore the plants growing in that soil are not good, strong specimens and cannot resist the diseases they are exposed to, same as you. All tomatoes are rated by the sellers for disease resistance so all you need do is look closely at the plant description to see which you want to grow.
The sign of a good gardener is not a green thumb, it is brown knees.
