I just found this link on my natural parenting board and just HAD to share it with you. This looks to have recipes for all your cleaning needs.

Alternative Recipes

*I will also add this to the green sites thread

That's a good link RachelG,

The information about not using washing soda on fiberglass and aluminum was a bit of info I had meant to post.

I have tweaked some of the recipes for my own home made cleaners based on our water hardness and the results I have acheived.

I sort of lurk on this board but I printed off all the recipes for cleaning products a couple weeks ago. I made everything this weekend and used it all and my house is sparkling clean and best of all- no fumes!

Tahnk you all so much for all of the great info you all post here! I am now using vinegar and peroxide for my laundry (I use 7th generation detergent)- my daughter has stopped complaining that her clothes itch her; I made my own wood polish and my wood looks great; I cleaned the bathrooms with vinegar, peroxide, borax and baking soda (not all mixed together! LOL!) and everything shines. My puppy got a hold of a sponge and I didn't have to worry about what was on it that he might have gotten in his mouth(baking soda and peroxide was all it had been used with)
I love that if my daughter or my puppy WERE to get a hold of any of the bottles I made up, I could tell a doctor EXACTLY what was in each bottle, right down to the amounts- and that most of them were...edible..so to speak. (wood polish was just vinegar and olive oil!)
So...thank you for all of this. I will be stopping by here often!
Smile

Glad they are working so well for you.

Come back and visit any time Big Grin

It is nice to not have the guess work with comercial cleaners. And I am sure you will find your cleaning cabnet nearly vacant
