WOW...I was impressed that this large chain has taken huge steps across its product lines....just got a new catalog and thumbed through it to find much of it eco friendly in the furniture lines...from the wood used in the framing to the foam being plant based etc....making it more accessible to the masses. Says they are introducing eco friendly upholstery, without more expense. Made with certicied sustainable wood by the Forest Stewardship Council....minimizing petroleum based foan in cushions and using more eneryg effiecient alt. such as soy and corn based foam and fibers, w/o sacrificing quality or comfort they are known for.

Crate and Barrel Environment Mission

Great idea and loved the design of the furn. while out shopping the other day we found mens slacks made from bamboo. Supposed to be cooler, wrinkle free, etc.
