A large well known nationwide real estate office has closed. And across the street a very small (and unknown name) office has a huge sign in front for a bus tour of foreclosed homes in the area.

(My apologies if this is general knowledge...I don't keep up too well lately!)

It's probably the local franchise of the nat'l company, which is independently owned and operated. Alot of newer brokers never knew the good ol days when one had to really market and sell for a living, not the crazy market of 8-10 yrs back when anything passing for a house would sell without much effort.

Yep local franchise. I guess I'm shocked cause this is the fastest growing county in MO. And the no name realtor just opened their teeny tiny little office maybe 6 mo. ago and haven't seemed to do much of anything until this foreclosure tour sign was put up. Does this mean things are getting worse?

Nope, just means someone is trying to make a little money out of this whole mess.
