    If I ask you:...

"What was the home’s equity boost (estimated value increase) in the most recent episode of Sweat Equity, airing nightly at 8:30pm ET?"

...and the question clearly says WAS....

...but the show hasn't aired yet were you are, don't you think that's also confusing.

If I'm filling out the contest at NOON on Wed., for example, the MOST RECENT EPISODE WAS TUES. NIGHT"S show it's not clear at all, to the point of being unanswerable correctly with out more clarification from DIY.

A program can't be the MOST RECENT episode until it has aired.
    Correct?

This is yet another vagary that leaves this jeopardizes the integrity of the sweepstakes and the leaves the eligibility process and selection of the winners open to challenge.

just go to the hints page, scroll down to the dates, and pick yesterday's date. What difference does it make if it aired where you are or not? Since they make that link the official hint link, go with their dates.

You can't, and that's just it.

When you click on the "hint," it gives you a list of ALL the shows to open and look at.

WHICH show do you pick? the one from LAST night, or the one for the CURRENT day?

IT IS a reason for challenge because if I'm entering at NOON and someone else is entering at 10P at night THAT SAME DAY, the most recent show for THEM is A DIFFERENT show, with a DIFFERENT ANSWER.

And the sweepstakes CANNOT be equitable if there are TWO different CORRECT answers, yet only ONE is gong to be accepted for eligibility.

THe integrity of the entire sweepstakes is jeopardized. and this is the SECOND issue with this same contest. This isn't good.

The very fact that they've CHANGED the criterion for the sweepstakes (after the contest has started) means execs know they have a problem. And their trying to correct it midstream, save the sweepstakes and avoid any challenges.

    Now the question says:

'Optional question to be entered into the Daily Drawing. Answering this question is NOT REQUIRED to enter the Grand Prize and Weekly Prizes.

What was the home’s equity boost (estimated value increase) in the most recent episode of Sweat Equity, airing nightly
at 8:30pm ET? (Use the hint link for details on each episode.)

    -----------------

    Well,

    1) If the question is now OPTIONAL for the daily drawing...AND NOT REQUIRED for the weekly or grand drawing ... then why even ask or answer it, the question is MOOT for all three. Because OPTIONAL and NOT REQUIRED are the same thing. So you don't have to answer the question for ANY of the three daily, weekly or grand prize.

    AND

    2) DIY hasn't said whether the answers entered during the question WAS MANDATORY were accepted and entered in those first DAILY drawings, and which day the question was referring to by "most recent episode'.

That's TWO reasons the questions had two correct answers?

I entered for at least the first three days of the contest, if I entered incorrectly do to THEIR OWN vagary of the question -- before the question was altered, and ultimately made OPTIONAL and NOT REQUIRED -- then were my answers entered for those daily and weekly drawings OR NOT? did they go back and re-enter those names for another day or week? Or do we just lose out do to THEIR oversight?

I want to know how this inequity is being addressed.

If resolution is not made in completely transparent manner, this sweepstakes and the awarding of every prize can be challenged.

OK - what show aired most recently at 8:30pm ET? Well, it isn't 8:30pm ET yet, so I'd go for the one that aired May 8th.

If I was answering the questions tonight, I would either do it before 8:30 pm ET, or wait until after 9:00pm ET.

I'm not seeing why it is so difficult to figure out.

    Sassy KatieSmile,

In an attempt to save the sweepstakes they've made the question OPTIONAL for all the drawings, but I'll still answer your point.

The question has TWO correct answers for the same date the viewer is entering on.

Let's say it's Wed at Noon and your most recent show is TUES NIGHT"S show so you answer.

And your friend answers on that same WED at 10:30 pm. but now the most recent show is THAT WED NIGHT"S show, so she answer based on THAT.

That's two different answers on the same day.

YOU BOTH can't be right. ((Is it you or her??)).....UNLESS....

.... the organizers have said from the beginning that there are TWO correct answers (which they didn't do) OR they track by database the time zone for the entrant and the time the person entered.

As a poster on DIY who gets it said:

"It seems that the judging agency will have a terrible time determining which people are in the daily drawings based on what time of day and which episode was the most recent episode we could have seen based on our time zone, etc, etc.

There are so many variables, that they need to be very specific about which episode we are answering the question about. Just tell me which episode the question is pertaining to and then I can answer correctly"

Again this is moot because answering the question is now optional.

But, I want to know how they resolved the issue of how they treated -- and how they are going to consider -- the answers that were submitted before they corrected their mistakes.

    They need to say.

There were daily drawings before they corrected the issue. I want to know if my and all of our answers were eligible.

Did they go back and take all the ' previously incorrect' entries and put them in a pool for another day?

That's still not equitable and is open to challenge because if you and I entered on a day when there were only five OTHER entries, we had a heck of a lot better chance of winning that daily drawing than if they now go back and enter us for another drawing where there are 5-thousand people entered.

Same for the first weekly drawings.

I have written to the Vyce Prehzident of Leegall Afayrz of DIY. (It's spelled this way so the words didn't trihggur)

It was mailed last week with tracking confirmation so I presume it did indeed arrive.

I have yet to receive even the courtesy of a response.
