I noticed a lot of young people on the forums asking real estate advice. I had the same problem when my wife and I were buying our first home 2 years ago. Because of this, i've created a website that provides free information to the young home buyers and owners out there. Check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions on what sort of content I should add.
Okay, that does it - third time is the charm and this is the third posting I have seen that violates every essential rule that HGTVs MG board is based upon. NO ADVERTISING - NO SELF-PROMOTION - and, most of all, no false hopes. Information posted here is for the benefit of everyone - not someone looking to make a profit on people looking for answers. I just clicked the Report button - if you are legitimate - then follow the rules; if not, find another place to post.

I'm also one to report "advertising" on these boards but I checked this out and there is no advertising on the blog. "Self-promotion"? Then EVERYONE who has their blog on the boards should be reported...seems like this one might be ok.

Jaysmom, thanks for posting. Perhaps I over-reacted after seeing a new poster - this OP with only 5 posts - post the same thing in three different threads and, in everyone one of them, include a link, not to a blog, BUT to a commercial site - check it out.
It's pretty common for people to create a screen name, post a few times and link those posts to their personal web-site - I think many people who come here are seeking information without obligation and this one simply didn't pass the smell-test.
BUT, I am always willing to admit when I am wrong so OP, if you are seriously wanting to help potential homeowners achieve their goals, I look forward to seeing you post here often with the information you have - without asking individuals to go off-site.... JMHO

Are we all forgetting that we have a great Real Estate Board right here in this Message Board? Why go somewhere else.?This message has been edited. Last edited by: rker321,

Looks like a lot of young innovators are starting up some websites geared to their future careers. Good for them.
This young fellow though, says um and please too much.. and should re-vamp his intro..and select a new location ..in front of a house. However most important needs to know how to say REAL-TOR..not Re-la-tor.
Didn't have time to go through the website, however if his advice is not financially healthy, he will not be successful.
Good idea though...website for early nesters. This message has been edited. Last edited by: real estate lady,
