Hi all,

Not sure if this is considered spammy under the rules or not, but I'm looking for some feedback.

I'm an MBA student at Northeastern University working on a project involving new homeowners. I was wondering if you might be able to help me out by taking with a quick survey. I promise it will come with good karma.

From what I understand, new homeowners are the most targeted/spammed group of consumers out there, so hopefully I'm able to get a few responses without paying to send out mass mailings.

I took the survey but I checked that I didn't need a specific furnishing. Because of that I didn't answer the rest of the questions because they were specific to the furnishings question.

It's required to answer all the questions to submit the survey. Maybe you should reword the questions?

I call BS! "Harvard MBA" says he goes to Northeastern and for an MBA student has very poor command of the english language. What is "a specific furnishing"? Does he really mean furniture? I'm not buying it.

You're probably right Chuck; but what would be the point to making up something this lame and posting it on HGTV?

I took specific furnishings to mean "furniture" but who knows. It's very poorly worded for a Harvard MBA.

It was a silly survey. I got from it, that he wants to know how much more would a person pay for an specific type of furniture and if i would pay someone to find it.

When I moved here I wanted a white tuxedo sofa for my living room, I found it, wouldn't have paid more money than it was worth. and certainly wouldn't have hired anyone to do it either.

Survey Monkey is a multi million dollar website.
It facilitates a person to do surveys to a select group. Anyone can enlist their services and appears free.

MBA students' profile talks about design. I imagine in the furniture business or furniture broker of sorts.
I didn't take the survey but saw the questions which totally relates to furniture not homebuying.

However, the "Joe" is on to something good as a
furniture broker to help designers, decorators and the public find particular accent pieces, or to design them..without one spending hours/day on the internet trying to find an acccent piece to make a room pop. Smart guy.

To me.. his services would be worth the 10%.
However I would do a heavy background check.

It would depend on your specific situation. I personally wouldn't hire someone to look for something for me. If I was in charge of furnishing 100's of model homes I might.

Not touching this one - even w/h a 10' pole!

Do we all think that he got the answers that he was looking for. ?
Most are not going to hire interior designers to do their homes, that is probably a service for people that have more money that most.
Are they a necesity? for many it is.
what % I don't know, I am sure that there are many polls outthere that can tell you.
