hi ya'll, we live in a fairly decent home, & plan to move within a year & we have {concidered} some upgrades that could get it sold quicker.....BUT....we live in an area that is {now concidered} "commercial property"....so my question is: do we do any remodeling & put ******$ into a home that could get bought & torn down anyway??? because one guy wanted it last year to make a parking-lot out of it!!!???? that would tear me up!!! any thoughts?

If the area has taken a turn to commercial development, you may want to seek the assistance of a "commercial" Realtor. May be a waste of time to market it residential. I wouldn't do any upgrades other than repairs, paint etc.

Call a "commercial" Realtor to get an idea of value, and possibility. The buyer would most likely make the offer contingent upon re-zoning.

Many commerical markets are "healthy".

Just a suggestion.

If your market is now commercial, don't do anything.
Good thing, your value may have increased as commercial property.
