Suggestions needed on how to transport crackers with a soft icing on top Sign In/Join

I have this great recipe for using ritz crackers. They have a cream cheese type icing. My problem is not having a way to pack more than one layer in my container. I've looked on line and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I need a large container that has two layers. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Years, and I means years ago I ordered a Piatto Bakery Box from QVC. It's collapsable, and you can fit 2 pies in it, or remove the shelf and big enough for a 2 layer cake. Not sure if they still sell them. I used them to carry cupcakes to school for kids bdays.

I know it sounds kind of obvious, but can you just "top" the crackers when you get to your destination? I always did that when I needed to bring cupcakes to school for the kids' birthday parties... I just got there a few minutes early. I miss those days Frown

We sometimes use "beer flats," boxes cut down from a local restaurant or grocery.
A platter covered with clear wrap fits in each, then when you stack them, turn the one on the top to be perpendicular. (So they make a +)

I would suggest you take them "with some assembly required"!?! Thinking cream cheese would quickly make crackers a bit soggy?!? Mix up your cream cheese and put in zip bag (try to get sort of in one corner, if possible)... freezer bags are a little sturdier. When you're at site, just snip off corner of bag (start SMALL, can always go bigger) and squeeze out contents... like a econo piping bag. This is what my sister always does with deviled eggs, even if NOT traveling with them. A dozen egg whites can easily fit in a smallish bag once cut in half. And plate can quickly be replenished, as needed.
