Sue MIMixing meat loaf and ground meat dishes.
Saw it on food network, use your kitchenide mixer. What a difference no more yucky hands. Just thought I would pass it along. Sue

LurahAs long as you don't overmix. Nothing makes meatloaf tough like too much handling or over combining the mixture.

LinderhofI agree with Lurah. And I would rather wash hands than a mixer bowl and beater!
But then I think that the hands are the kitchen's best tool!

flboyI read once that you should mix the meatloaf or meatballs with a fork until it holds together and then form for the recipe. The recipe said that over handling does make the recipe tough.

IndexladyI've had to mix meatloaf this way for several years due to repetitive stress injury to my wrists. I just don't overdo the mixing.
