I made a batch of pumpkin cookie dough and maple syrup icing. Would they be ok to freeze for baking and icing at a later time? Thanks
I don't know about icing but cookie dough is fine in the freezer. Have done it often.
Cookie dough definitely okay. You can freeze iced cookies so I would freeze icing. You can tell upon thawing whether it will work or not

I freeze frosting all the time...but then sometimes forget I have it in the freezer.
I also freeze cake decorator icing, too. It's nice to have extra for decorating wo having to make it up again. I just leave the leftover decorator icing in the pastry bag and put it in a freezer bag. Then, I have to remember that's in the freezer, too.
You can definitely freeze cookie dough. I do it all the time because I usually make the dough at night and bake them in the morning. I've never put frosting in the freezer though, but I don't see that being a problem in any way. My suggestion on thawing would be submerging it in a bowl of hot water. Good luck!
I freeze the Wilton buttercream recipe icing all the time. It doesn't seem to affect the icing at all.
Cookie dough definitely works. Not sure about the icing.
