What's your first dinner of 2013?

Blackeyed peas or something else?

We're having brisket baked in a cranberry sauce/onion soup glaze (a new recipe for us but one my blogger friends thinks is great -- we shall see) along with cauliflower gratin and roasted broccoli.

Ours was spur of the moment Lobster which I steamed in a broth of butter, garlic, chicken stock, red pepper flakes, shrimp boil liquid, lemon juice and a handful of parsley. I also melted butter infused with lots of garlic to dip the lobster in and now I'm simmering the shells in that same broth and left over garlic butter to make lobster bisque for another time. Had cold slaw and broccoli on the side.
