No specific time-honored recipes, but you can probably find them online:

beer-butt chicken on the grill Wink
batter fried bacon
fried bacon dipped in chocolate

I have a great appetizers -- take those Pillsbury bread sticks and separate into sticks. I usually cut them in half for I like the size better but you can keep them whole if you want or even cut them in thirds. Cut each slice of bacon in half. Roll the bacon around the breadstick and twist as you roll. Then take the bacon wrapped bread stick and roll in a mixture of 1/4 c. chili powder and 1 T. brown sugar. Lay on baking sheet and bake at 375 until bacon and breadsticks are done. They're yummy and the best thing is that they can be eaten at room temperature -- they don't have to be hot!

Oh, Martha! THOSE are GOOD!

You can also wrap bacon around blanched long green beans (or canned beans) or blanched asparagus. Drizzle or spritz with olive oil, sprinkle vegetable bundle with a bit of salt and pepper. Bake until bacon is done.

Bacon stuffed cherry tomatoes - hollowed out cherry tomatoes filled with crumbled bacon mixed with sliced green onions, moistened with enough mayo to hold all together. Perfect mini, bite size BLT's.

You didn't mention beer recipes -- but what about beer bread -- you COULD put crumbled up bacon in it so you'd hit both areas!

How nice to see your name on our board again. Here's one that's always a hit.

WATER CHESTNUT APPETIZERS
Cut water chestnuts in half. Roll in brown sugar. Wrap 1/3 of a slice of bacon around each chestnut half. Anchor with a wooden toothpick. Broil until bacon is done.

I know it's a ways off, but Happy 50th Birthday!

Thanks again for all the recipes.. planning on it to be at a local club that I visit, having a band outside and will have access to the inside for set up the food... thanks for all the great ideas of recipes... with my birthday stone color being a pink and pigs are pink, the inside will have pink balloons, with a beer koozie that is white with pink pigs on them, saying what's shaken bacon? and then a friend is making my cake.. when pigs fly or something of that nature.. will be smoking a whole pig in the ground.. so if any more ideas come up please post...
