Just finished bean soup from my Easter ham bone.
It made LOTS so I thought I'd take some to a friend who doesn't cook much. She has CP and it's difficult for her and she lives alone.
What kind of bread should I take with it?
Has anyone made Tuscan bread? I also have rye flour???
I would take something nice and crusty. Something that would hold up to dipping!
When we had bread with bean soup it was always a nice crusty French bread. Now if we have it I get the Pan Rustico from Trader Joe's. It is a sourdough and a bit chewy and if you leave it in the bread bag it will get rock hard.
Save Planet Earth, it is the only Planet with chocolate!!
Hey there PP: Is "rock hard" a good thing or a bad thing for that bread? This message has been edited. Last edited by: nance425,
We like cornbread with bean soups.
Cornbread here, too.
Yeah, cornbread would be my choice, but under the circumstances a nice crusty yeast bread might be best. It will still be very good.
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
We usually have cornbread but since you're taking it someplace, I would suggest a nice hard crusty loaf as well. You might take a stick of butter to go along with!

That was really sweet of you. I think corn muffins is a good option. They are already in individual servings. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Charming,
