You are now eligible to get a "free" something for Thanksgiving from your supermarket for spending the required amount of money. You have a choice of a free: frozen turkey, turkey breast, ham, Kosher chicken, or some frozen meal for Thanksgiving. What would you choose?
I would choose the turkey breast. If I couldn't find any of them left, then I would choose the frozen turkey! And you?
Wavy... I'd agree with you. Would have whole breast cut in half. Have asked meat guys to cut whole (smallish) turkey in half, and they've always done it. Vac sealed... great for some other time.

Turkey breast for sure. However, have never had that option. Did get a $.68/lb turkey today though. This message has been edited. Last edited by: MyLifeVacation1,
I'm going to buy a ham and get a free whole frozen turkey. (When son can make it - probably between the holidays - I will invited the rest of the family so will need a lot of meat!)
If I were buying a turkey, I would get the ham.
If I were buying a turkey and ham was not offered, then I would pick the turkey breast.
Simple reply here because it's the reality of what we will be doing tomarrow (going shopping) and what we have done for the last 10 years: Buy the ingredients for our own Thanksgiving dinner and then opt for the frozen whole turkey!
Then donate it to our local Salvation Army at Christmas time for families that can't afford the "extras" to celebrate the holidays. We do the same at Christmas time as well so usually have two turkeys for donation.
Wavy, I picked up my turkey breast last week---we're in the same state so I'm sure we are talking about the same store. I ALWAYS choose the turkey breast---even if I already have one in the freezer!
