I finally remembered to look for my recipe....

1 med. head cabbage (shredded)
1 green pepper (chopped)
1 carrot (grated)
1 t salt
Mix salt w/cabbage, let stand 1 hr. Drain excess moisture, add carrot & green pepper, set aside.

Dressing
1 C vinegar
1/4 C water (or increase up to 1 C as desired)
2 C sugar
1/8 t celery seed
Mix all ingredients & boil 1 min. COOL COMPLETELY! Pour over slaw.
Freeze in quantities that can be eaten at one meal.

This recipe came from an "old" aunt who has been gone for over 20 yrs. now. She was one of the best cooks of country/simple fair that I've ever known. Give her a couple of ingredients & she could make a meal out of it.
