CraftyradDid you know that if you are 62 or over you can get a lifetime pass to national parks for $10? That's one of the best deals around!

ga.karenIt's also either free or the same price for Veterans! If you have a vet in the family look into it. Also many state parks are free for vets and my state, Ga., they also get free lifetime fishing licenses. I'm not sure about hunting as my DH doesn't do that. He said he "hunted" enough in Viet Nam!

thatchairladyLast time I went on a "picnic" was 2 Memorial Day weekends ago. Drove down from NJ to VA to go "watch" the dress rehearsal for A Prairie Home Companion at Wolf Trap. We had "seats" on the hill... not particularly good for watching but it WAS a radio program, after all!?! In the "good" seats... NO food or beverages. Sitting on lankets on the hill... NO limitations! My sister has this neat soft-sided cooler on wheels. She made 2-3 different skewered meats that didn't have to be hot to thoroughly enjoy. We made a messa sides, brought along wine, and didn't encounter one single mosquito! A great time was had by all!
