One of my favorite candies has disappeared in my area. Can't remember who made them but used to love the chocolate straw candy in a can and they also used to have peanut butter puffs and good filled hard candy.

I haven't been able to find these for 3-4 years now.
Don't know if the stores just stopped carrying them or they don't make them anymore.

Do you mean these? They still make them. I usually find them in the cookie aisle.

Mmmmm,I love those! I avoid buying them though because of cost and because they are so easy to eat -- the whole can in one sitting! oink oink on me!

I don't remember them being called chocolate straws but you are right about the name. They usually came in pastel colors and were chocolate filled. Plantation candy company has them in Christmas colors. There still are a lot of companies that make them. Is this the candy you are writing about?
