I'm making approximately a million cake balls for a big event, trying to save time by using a cake mix. Wink
You crumble the cake & mix in frosting, roll & dip in chocolate or colored Wilton's melts.
So do you think I could use a yellow cake mix & sub pineapple juice for water. What about crushed pineapple instead of oil? It shouldn't be too moist, or then with the frosting it will be too gooey.
Ideas?

You could sub pineapple juice for the water -- not sure about the pineapple for the oil -- I know you can sub applesauce for oil but not sure about other fruit -- perhaps others would know. A million cake balls -- wow! I'm impressed. Are you putting on stick or not? Can you take pics when you're finished?

I know what you mean -- I'm making 600 decorated cut out cookies for a fundraiser next week -- and I'm sure by the time I finish they will seem like a million as well!

LOL!

Fabulous! They loved them all.
When people complimented me, I told them to enjoy because it was too labor-intensive to do it again. Wink
Next year will be pineapple/banana bread again.
