I need help please! I need to plan a dinner for children with a airplane theme. I honestly can't think of anything that relates

You didn't indicate if you are interested in airplane themed decorations or food. Isn't this a clever idea for sky jello? Here is a link to the blog that had the recipe. - http://anastasiaspalace.blogsp...10/10/sky-jello.html You could make in a large clear bowl if you don't have parfait glasses. ![]()

I think I would use the theme for decorations -- tablecloth, centerpieces, napkins and plates and then serve food that the children would like -- hot dogs and such. And if there is a cake -- that could also carry the theme as well. Martha

Although I must admit that those parfaits do look like sky and clouds -- and the children should like jello and whipped cream! Martha

Notice how this mom carved a watermelon to look like an airplane. http://www.staceeadams.com/201...-first-birthday.html She has better view on her site. It shows a close up top view of the carved watermelon.

Here is a airplane fork. I'd leave off the heart as this was for a Valentine's party. ![]()

I'd check a few of the menus on airlines... last time I went (pre-9/11), airplane food consisted of a sandwich, chips, and beverage. That would be easy to replicate as real airplane food.

Just a few quick ideas for you. Boarding Pass with the guest's name Plastic trays from do*llar store Maps of their arrival destination for place mats Sign for Arrival Gate~then flip the sign over with Departure Gate when they leave Perhaps you could pre-design a large poster board like they have at airports showing arrivals/departures. You could list each guest's name on one side. Then each guest could list their hometown, etc. Have Fun!

Don't forget to check the scrapbook aisles for inspiration, stickers, papers, etc. ~Like sands through the hourglass ~So are the days of our lives

These are rocket-shaped popsicle molds... I've been making a large smoothie to pour into these. A spoonful or two of plain yogurt, bananas, blueberries, and fill with milk to the 1 1/2 cup mark. Makes 6. I've also changed the fruit to an apple and a handful of Craisins. EASY! Great ideas thank you all For the jello and cloud cups, do you suppose I could use cool whip instead of beating whipping cream?

Make sure the guests all have I.D.'s before take off or to come in to the party. I would make them take their shoes off at the entry area as well. html

OH! Issue them passports!! Can someone take their photos as they "enter" - then print and glue to their passports? Or have their parents furnish a photo ahead of time for the passports - either the books or like the new cards (similar to ID cards). http://travel.state.gov/passpo...d/ppt_card_3926.html Of course if you make the passport books, perhaps other parents will participate with stamps at future parties...
