I know there is a pet forum, but is there one anywhere here that I'm missing about pregnancy and babies/child rearing? I'm a first-timer, due in 5 weeks, so I know that I'm going to have a billion questions...I just want to know where to put them.

I sent you a PM. I tried to post but it went into review due to trigger words.

Best tip I was given:
Those first few months if the baby doesn't sleep through the night are killers. When I don't get enough sleep I get emotional and can't think clearly. A friend helped me make a list to put on fridge of possibly why the baby was crying - things like diaper, hungry, hot, cold, needs to burp, etc. The best and last idea was to swaddle the baby - use something light if you think its too hot for a blanket. That saftey feeling always seemed to work.
One other thing a nursery nurse taught me when I called frazzled in the middle of the night our first night home - you can feed breast milk and formula. When you are tired yourself, you aren't making enough milk and the baby crying makes you more upset, ...ladela. Give them a bottle and get some sleep yourself. Not only does it help you get back to filling up, it also allows the baby to learn to also drink from a bottle so Dad can easily help feed.
Good luck!!

Try the website "IVillage".com. That website has a million subjects and it is probably visited nearly totally by women.
I look up the "Teens" Section on "IVillage" now.... Wink
