My niece said she purchased cranberry/blueberry muffins. I tried making them with dried cranberries but I didn't like them. What kind of cranberries should I use, fresh, frozen, or canned? Thanks in advance.

If it were I, I would use fresh -- less water than frozen (although after January there aren't any fresh available). And I would probably cut them in half.

How many does it make? And are you using 1 cup of blueberries and how many dried cranberries did you use? Or is it a blueberry muffin recipe and you want to have some of both -- if it's one cup of blueberries then I would do half and half -- half a cup of blueberries and half a cup of cranberries.

It is a blueberry recipe which makes 18 regular size. I think I will try half and half. Will try this weekend.

So the 1 cup of blueberries was for the whole batch? And you were going to change it to cranberry? Yes, 1 cup and if you want do a half cup of each.

Let us know how they turn out.

That is a lot of muffins with just 1 cup of fruit. Don't forget - fresh cranberries are more tart than blueberries so you might want to increase the sugar.

The cranberries were fine but I agree with Charming, I think more fruit was needed. The sugar seem fine but I usually use more than one cup of fruit. I think maybe one cup of each would be better.
