Anyone remember this stuff? Well, I shouldn't admit that I do. I found it at Big Lots and just had to buy it. Smile
I didn't know they still made it.

Wow is right. My kids always liked Bosco. I'll try to get to Big Lots and surprise them with a bottle (of course, they may not be too excited since they are now both in their 50's . . . yikes!!!).

I vaguely remember Boscos BUT our family favorite was Hershey's Chocolate syrup in the cans that you punctured on both sides with a "church key!" Anyone remember those cans? Smile

I remember Hershey's in the can, but we had Nestle's Quik.

In MY home, I buy Hershey's in the plastic squeeze bottle...oh...Hershey's DARK chocolate. I keep a couple of extras in the pantry because I am NOT happy if I run out. Coffee-schmoffee. I gotta have my glass of chocolate milk in the morning. Big Grin

Hand over the Bosco, nance, and nobody will get hurt.

I wonder if still tastes the same or if they have fudged with the recipe.

Who remembers Fox's U Bet?

I remember Bosco and Hershey's in the can and I also remember Log Cabin Syrup in a tin can.
I never liked Nestle's Quick...it left an after taste!

It's a Brooklyn thang. :>)

New Yawkers of a certain vintage know Fox's U Bet thick chocolate syrup (made in Brooklyn since 1895) as the main ingredient in "egg creams," a soda fountain favorite. Fox's is blended with ice cold milk and seltzer water to make a creamy and refreshing summertime drink. And, it's easy to make at home. PS -- there are NO eggs in egg cream.

Last weekend I went to Stop N Shop Supermarket just to pick up a couple of things.
Right on the shelf was BOSCO & FOX'S UBET!!!! I actually had my camera with me for the first time in a supermarket (went for a long walk first) but didn't take a picture of it. (sorry!) I was debating whether to buy it or not. The next time I want chocolate syrup for ice cream, that's where I'll go for FOX'S UBET!!!

I wonder why we're seeing these "old" items now? I've never seen them in the stores before.

Just yesterday I was walking by the isle, didn't need to go down it. Right there near the end of the isle was--BOSCO!

Interesting. I wonder if there is a movement to bring back items for the Baby Boomers "memory lane" kind of thing, perhaps to introduce it to a new generation--their grandkids.

Just asked DH who was born and brought up in Bklyn (Greenpoint/williamsburg) and he never heard of it, but does love his Hershey's in a glass of cold milk.

I remember Bosco too! How about Ovaltine? My dad used to want me always to drink that to "build" myself up!

Oh, wow, I remember Bosco! I don't think my mom ever bought it but I sure remember it.

Gosh, IR, now that you mentioned it, I do vaguely remember those cans with the keys.

Wow, such a nice trip jogging a few memories that I had totally forgotten about.
