Hi Foodies. I'm trying to do some reasearch re. a battery operated pot stirrer. I see the gourmet types run $60 to $100+ so I'm wondering if this gadget is effective enough to give to a family member who's an avid cook who likes to cook alone? Any feedback, pro or con, is valuable to me. TIA

I don't have one but wonder if they get to the bottom of the pan.

Here is a link with some different ones with reviews.

IMO it would mean an extra item to wash at the end of cooking. Would a slow cooker do the trick since no stirring required? If something required constant stirring, I'd likely watch to make sure it didn't boil over.

Good luck on deciding.

BR, the notion re. having to wash this tool did not escape me. This "cook" probably wouldn't mind tho as he does most of the prep and cooking and his family cleans up. Thanks for the link. I hope someone here has first hand experience w/ such a tool tho.
