Does anyone have one? Do you have fav recipes you'd like to share?

It's just the two of us, and a regular pie is just too big--be it sweet or savory.

Thanks!

Hello Indexlady,
I don't have one, but I have a story about regular pies. Sunday we went to our nieces 40th BD party. He husband made strawberry pies as the dessert (her favorite dessert). DH says to the husband are these individual pies, I'll take that one. Jeremy gave him a look like he was a madman and said no, we have to cut them up and serve everyone. I was laughing so hard, I almost fell off my chair. At our house, there is only DH and I and I cannot eat the pie, becase of diabetes. I will take a taste to see if it is okay, but the rest of the pie is DH's (although he eats it over a 10 day or so period). So he thought everyone served a pie a piece. Just cracked me up. When I told the BD company why he had asked they thought it was funny also and that he was very lucky not to have to share.
We had a renter who made mini pies for us and there again he got to eat most of them. But maybe I can save him some calories if I got one of those electric mini-pie makers.

That's the situation in our home, too. Though DH does know he has to share pies when others are around....

I have had one for several months now and have yet to use it. I also bought the pie cutter and recipe book that's sold to accompany it. I plan on baking more when cooler weather arrives...both sweet and mostly savory. If you invest in one, or have one, do purchase the cookbook too.

I did, and I do. IT's the Breville model and I bought "Mini Pies: Sweet and Savory Recipes for the Electric Pie Maker" to go with it.

Some mini pies are meant to be baked, vs. to go in the electric pie maker. So, thought I'd better get something! Ha! Although the gadget instruction book does come with enough recipes to figure out how to create your own.

I hope to make some savory breakfast pies this weekend.

Hope you'll post some successes and tips (or warnings!) when you start to use it.

I have the same brand of piemaker and recipe book, Indexlady. Do post if you try one of the recipes. I will do the same.
