It calls for a box of Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix, a box of chocolate pudding (not instant), and chocolate chips.

What I would like to know is what size box of pudding? The small box (3 oz ??) or the big box (6 oz??)? (Not sure about those weights, but they're close enough.)

I was hoping to make this easy cake tonight, but not sure Martha will see this in time. I may have to come up with another easy dessert to throw together at the last minute.

Also, I have a Duncan Hines mix, but I don't see why that wouldn't work!

I made a similar one years ago -- looked it up and it called for the smaller box (4 oz. then, maybe 3 oz. now since packaging seems to be shrinking).

Yes, small box of chocolate pudding and your favorite chocolate cake mix -- I always use BC -- but even the store brand would work.

Hope you see this in time.

Yes, I did. So I'll put my eggs back in the fridge and wash my prepared Bundt pan (I did have a Plan B). I'm going to do this recipe because I'm too tired to do anything more today. I love raft-outs, but they are a lot of work!

Thank you for your help.

Just for kicks and giggles at the grocery store the other day: now another brand of cake mixes has suddenly shrunk - Pillsbury has followed suit with Betty Crocker.
Duncan Hines still was 18 ounces, at least for the few flavors I checked.
