Are frosted cupcakes able to be froze for later? I'm trying to watch what I eat but Sunday is a special day. I wanted to get 1/2 dozen of these awesome cupcakes (it's a deal rather than buying seperately) and I only need 3. I'll buy 3 if they can't be froze. TIA
Cupcakes with frosting freeze just fine. The only problem is when they are thawed those old fashioned pleated muffin cup liners fall away from the cake. We had cupcakes for our wedding reception and the cateress baking my cakes was also doing the wedding brunch. I got a frantic call from her a few days before the wedding. She'd baked the cupcakes early and frozen them. Her SIL came to help another day and reminded her about the cupcake papers. She was really shook up and felt so bad. But she had a solution - she would use a bit more frosting to glue the papers back on the sides of the cakes! It worked, they were fine and I don't think anyone but the three of us ever knew the difference. I guess I was eons ahead of the cupcake fad. Our 30+ anniversary is this summer.

Wow, just a little ahead I love the cupcake idea instead of a huge wedding cake. DD did cupcakes at her wedding and had a 6" cake for their cutting cake. It was so cute!!! Anyhow, thanks everyone, I'm going for the sweet awesomeness called cupcakes tomorrow. Fingers crossed they have my favorite.
