I bought this knife it is very sharp and does keep a good edge for a long time. My problem is what would I use it for, It has a hooked blade like a birds beak. It has about a 4 inch blade.

It's a bird's beak paring knife. My Chicago Cutlery set came with one and I thought I'd never use it. When I have a 'little' something to do...I find that I grab it first.

Slicing strawberries
Cutting through the skin on oranges/grapefruit/etc. making it easier to peel them
Halving boiled eggs

Because of your post question, I looked up some different styles of small knives. Thank you for posting!

I found out my "mystery knife" is a soft cheese knife. It is solid stainless steel with three large holes in the side of the blade with a serving tip and came with it's own scabbard. (The holes are to keep the cheese slices from sticking together)

Who ever knew there were so many knives with so many purposes?
