Food & Wine magazine - does anyone have a subscription?
I let my regular magazine expire and was thinking of picking up Food and Wine to replace it.

Anyone take this subscription? Opinions on value?

I purchased a copy from the magazine rack and liked it, but wanted to know if it is worth it. My brother gave me a sub to Food Network's magazine a year ago and I really do NOT care for it.

If you liked the newsstand issue go for it. I used to look at them at the library, but they are to sophisticated for me Wink

LOL - it comes across like that, doesn't it? Wink Have you tried any of the recipes? Everything seems fairly straightforward and not too complicated.

I do want a more sophisticated approach to my cooking - we just tore out and re-did the kitchen - and I'm replacing as many gadgets and utensils as I can afford. And with the price of some food items going up, I want to make the most of what I cook.

DH got a subscription really cheap online -- so we're getting it now as well as Bon Appetit and Saveur.

I do like them . . . but I find that often I don't really CLIP anything out of them!

Florida Farm Girl
Many years ago I subscribed to it and enjoyed it, although I was single and didn't cook a whole lot. I just liked reading it.

Cooking Light is something you might consider also.

Charming
I have been getting Bon Appetit for years and do enjoy it and have tried a number of recipes.

DH just started a subscription to Food & WIne - I haven't received it yet.

I pick up Cooking Light every now and then too. Like that. And America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Country when there is a special issue out. Haven't looked at Bon Appetit - maybe I'll take a look.

Spanish Revival
I really like Food and Wine, I've gotten many good ideas and recipes from it, also Cooking Light and Bon Appetite and I would have subscriptions to all of them only thing is I just really dislike dealing with any kind of clutter. I pick them up occasionally, clip the recipes that I like then send them with my husband to his office for others to enjoy.

JC: Why not just go to its website. Lots of stuff on it. Same for cooking light. I get CL newsletter/recipes, etc. daily.

spanish revivial: you really don't have to clip recipes out. You can usually find them on the websites or by googling the recipes.
