I thought I gave these to DS. He thought we threw them away because the plastic deteriorated. Nay. Not Tupperware! I found them in the cabinet over the refrigerator today. BTW the two sets to the right are from my childhood. Don't know why I purchased the third set with only one child...This message has been edited. Because I thought I threw those away, I purchased these off Amazon for when the grands visited. No Kool-Aid pops for my grands though. (Sorry son.) I make a smoothie and pour that up to freeze. These are probably banana/blueberry (with a dollop of plain Greek yogurt and milk). The grands liked them as did one of the dads. Boy do those bring back memories. Before we had those, it was a dixie cup filled with kool-aid or HiC and a popsicle stick! Of course the stick never stood straight up, and you had to peel the paper cup or melt it with your warm hands to get it out! Thanks for sharing!

Sherry, I've never made a smoothie. How do you make your apple/craisin smoothie? I still have my Tupperware set, which I think are on the top shelf in a garage cabinet. Might a smoothie be lower in fat than a dish of icecream?

Lower calorie? You control the ingredients, so yes it can be. It can also be more, depending on your ingredients. And don't forget, you are controlling portions! I have NEVER stopped eating ice cream after 1/4 cup!!!! That's just plumb silly. Measure the molds. My rocket molds hold 1/4 cup with enough headroom for expansion during freezing. So I need 1 1/2 cups of smoothie for 6 molds. Peel and cut up 1 apple. Put that in the blender. Throw in a handful of Craisins. Yes, measure carefully. LOL Add 1-2 tablespoons of yogurt. I use plain Cabot brand Greek yogurt. I imagine any yogurt would work though. Add a splash of milk. Blend. Check the level and add more milk to the 1 1/2 mark...or however much you need. Of course if you add too much, you can always drink it. Taste it. If your apple is tart, you might want to add a squirt of honey. BTW The banana/blueberry is basically the same. Use whatever fruit you like. This message has been edited. Thank you, Sherry. Maybe this will be a way of getting yogurt into my diet. I've tried eating several brands plain but don't care for the stuff. I do, like frozen chocolate yogurt, however.

My mom always had "Grandma's Camp" each summer for a week and all ten grandkids came and had a blast. She'd spend weeks ahead of time baking cookies, making and freezing popsicles, creamsicles, fudgesicles, etc. with several sets of those Tupperware and other molds. She'd remove from molds and put each in a plastic baggie and make more. It was amazing to drop off the kids and take a look in the freezer drawer to see it FULL of many doxen frozen pops, all shapes and flavors. The kids could sleep wherever they preferred: outside in tents, on the LR floor in sleeping bags or in beds upstairs, in their clothes or pajamas. My dad always rented a golf cart and they'd ride that around the farmyard and out to the fields with other cousins on bikes, trikes or the riding lawn mower. They went on a major day trip to a kid friendly site once during the week as the highlight and swimming every other afternoon in town.

Found out that my niece puts chocolate pudding in her set. Fudge pops! Sounds good to me. Sherry Does this hat make my butt look big? www.keepyouinstitches.blogspot.com http://s193.photobucket.com/al...9/keepyouinstitches/ www.friendsofthedaingerfieldpu...library.blogspot.com
