I am looking for a nice dinner out, preferably not a chain-type restaurant. Price is not too much of an issue, but looking for good quality food at a higher end type place. Italian or seafood would be my favorite choices. Thanks!

Gandy Dancer - an old train station. Been there several times for lunch, once for dinner.

I have to say Gandy Dancer and Webers too. Not familiar with the others Nance mentioned. Don't know if the Old German is still there but you can't miss if it is.. There is a Deli called Zingermans that is supposed to be out of this world. I hope you have a wonderfull time and let us know where you went to eat? Sue

Thanks Sue and nance! I'll be going up in March. My daughter is moving there soon, so I'll wait until she gets settled. Can't wait to try some of these restaurants...I've already sent her the links you gave me. Wink

Zingermans has a web site. All I can say is WOW. Called my girlfriend and we are going to go check it out as soon as the weather is better. My husband worked in Ann Arbor for years. Seems to me there is a Chinese restaurant, Lep Pings comes to mind. That was a great place to eat. Sue
