Does anyone know of any good places to eat in this area or around Dexter?
|
what type and price range?
|
I am looking for a nice dinner out, preferably not a chain-type restaurant. Price is not too much of an issue, but looking for good quality food at a higher end type place. Italian or seafood would be my favorite choices. Thanks!

Here ya go: (these are in Ann Arbor) Webers - an area favorite; great food and atmosphere; steaks, fish and pasta, etc. http://www.webersinn.com/restaurant Gandy Dancer - an old train station. Been there several times for lunch, once for dinner. http://www.muer.com/gandy-dancer/index.asp Real Seafood on Main St http://www.opentable.com/real-...od-company-ann-arbor Black Pearl Seafood + Martini Bar. http://blackpearlonmain.com/ Blue Nile - an Ethiopian restaurant. Pricey. http://www.bluenilemi.com/ Shalimar on Main Street - Indian food is pretty good. http://www.shalimarrestaurant.com/This message has been edited. Last edited by: nance425,

nance: Thank you for replying to this request. These idea's look promising!

I have to say Gandy Dancer and Webers too. Not familiar with the others Nance mentioned. Don't know if the Old German is still there but you can't miss if it is.. There is a Deli called Zingermans that is supposed to be out of this world. I hope you have a wonderfull time and let us know where you went to eat? Sue

I also heard zingermans is great... Post back and let us know where you end up going. When will this be?
|
Thanks Sue and nance! I'll be going up in March. My daughter is moving there soon, so I'll wait until she gets settled. Can't wait to try some of these restaurants...I've already sent her the links you gave me.

Just remember not to say "Go Green" while you're in the area.... Coming from a Spartan fan!

Zingermans has a web site. All I can say is WOW. Called my girlfriend and we are going to go check it out as soon as the weather is better. My husband worked in Ann Arbor for years. Seems to me there is a Chinese restaurant, Lep Pings comes to mind. That was a great place to eat. Sue
