We've been absent several weeks and I was called to take my turn to serve refreshment hour between the services Sunday morning.
Not feeling the greatest, my oven is again out of order, and find myself in a quandry about what to offer.
Last time I served Dried Beef Spread on assorted crackers, veggies & Benedictine dip,
and Red Velvet Brownies.
Scorching heat around here so I thought fresh fruit kabobs, a fluffy, chesse dip served cold for tortilla chips and ??? (without my oven, no baking or homemade Party Mix.

Any and all ideas welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I know a couple of men in our group who are very disappointed if someone doesn't bring potato chips and Lipton's Onion Soup Dip to the party. And I'm always happy when I see wheat thins with green pepper jelly over Philly Cream Cheese. Couldn't be easier!! And the other one to disappear fast is Deviled Eggs.

Spinach dip served in a cut out round of sour dough bread, then using the removed bread to dip as well as crackers. Knorr's vegetable dip makes a wonderful spinach dip, recipe is on the back of the package, and it makes a lot.

I assume you'll also do veggies and a dip for those who want to eat light. Homemade or store bought for the dip.

I agree with Lori -- deviled eggs always are the first to go! Everyone seems to love them.

A favorite (and old) dip recipe that we like is shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon (you could use bacon bits), slivered almonds and enough real mayonnaise to bind it all together. Goes well with crackers -- especially Wheat Thins.

I think fruit kabobs & veggies with dip are great for hot summer snacks.
Chips or crackers with dip/spread will be nice.
On my veggie platters I like to do it myself (so it's cheaper) & include red pepper strips, cuke slices, zuccini sticks, pea pods, cherry tomatoes & black olives along with the regular cauliflower, broccoli, celery & carrots.

I love turkish bread cut into bite size pieces, topped with pesto and a semi dried tomato.

you can never go wrong with fruit and veggie platters

no bake cookies go fast

curried egg sandwiches

strawberries dipped in sourcream then rolled in brown sugar fly off the tray here

cheese and grape platter or skewers

pinwheels...made from flat bread or mountain bread, tortilla...my crew loves the cranberry and turkey...spread a thin layer of spreadable cream cheese on the bread, then sprad a thin layer of cranberry sauce down the center, topped with a layer of thinly sliced turkey down the center, gently roll nice and tight, then slice into 1" slices...ham, cream cheese and green onion are nice too.
