I had enough time before the dentist to stop in at Burk's (Beall's outlet). I generally stop and browse through the blouses for work (office). Didn't find anything so strolled to the kitchen goods section. There I found some Calphalon bakeware!!

My preference would be USA brand bakeware...which is actually made in the USA. Calphalon pans are made in china. However, since it was the outlet store...and the pans were about half price. Big Grin I came out with a mini 12 muffin pan and a 9" springform pan. I'm happy! Big Grin

Edited to add: I do have a couple of USA Pans on my Amazon wishlist. Wink Trying to build up a better set of bakeware than I have...I 'gift' the old stuff to DS.

It seems like all brands have different levels of product these days. You really have to research carefully to be sure of what you are buying.

I try my best to buy American but also have to keep the amount of money on hand in mind too. I cannot pay double the price to buy American. However between too comparable same price items, I will purchase made in USA.

Last alternative is buying Chinese products. Saw a report on television a couple of days ago...the Chinese are purchasing American products because they also perceive them as better than made in China!!!
