Have you seen this one?

My butcher uses one for tough cuts of meat. I asked him yesterday where to find one and he sold me a new one.

It's a punch and press with little prongs that do the tenderizing. Just be careful and keep fingers out of the way.

I used the little gadget last night on the pork chops. Thanks to the post about baking with high heat. They were baked at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.

I bought one of those after I saw Alton Brown rave about it. (He's usually not into "uni-taskers", so that surprised me.) Have used it maybe twice. I mostly tenderize round steak; didn't find this thing worked as well as my trusty old meat mallet thingie.

How well do you think it worked?

I'm sure I know what the photo is of, but why am I unable to see the photo? All I get is a red circle with a red X inside it.

Can you see the pics yet? If not, check at the top of this page, on the right side opposite the title of this message. It should say: Welcome, CA Lori (sign out). If it DOES say that then I have no suggestion. Otherwise, you might have to sign in again. Good luck.

Nettie,

I have used the meat mallet also. This works well. It's a little harder to punch for me personally.

Lori, The boards are strange now and sometimes the pics aren't showing for some reason.

My Life, It took me a while to figure out where to log-in for the message boards. I don't log-out anymore.

I've got one and really like it. Works well on chops and steaks. I bought it at Meijers (MI store) and thinK I paid about 10.00. Sue

BR, even though you don't ever log out (neither do I) we can get logged out by some other action that has happened.
Sometimes when we lose power and the computer isn't shut down right I get logged out. Also when I run some scans or delete cookies, it will do it too...but not always.

The photos are all here for me today. I didn't have to do anything, they were just there.

Yes, the Welcome, CA Lori (sign out) was at the top of the screen--don't know if it was missing yesterday or not.
