I attended my first party of the season last night. One of the ladies from chur-ch invites all the ladies to her home for basically finger foods. Those of us attending brought COOKIES! After visiting, eating, laughing, visiting, eating COOKIES - small bags were provided to shop the leftover cookies.
I made shortbread...and brought home a couple each: chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal craisin cookies, macaroons!, little round things with cherries in them roll in powdered sugar...seems like something else.
I told DH everything except the chocolate chip cookies were his. He asked what if some were still there after I got home from work this evening...sorry...they are just all his as long as they are all gone before I get home! LOL
Chocolate chip cookies don't qualify as Christmas fare in my book. I like them but gosh ladies, put some effort into holiday baking! Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter criss crosses and peanut butter blossoms, drop sugar, Snickerdoodle cookies, and a few others are my "go to" 'LUNCHBOX' cookies. Same goes for brownies, Scotcharoos and Rice Crispie treats.

I agree, Lurah, chocolate chips are my all-time favorite cookie, but I never make them at Christmas. That said, I don't make biscotti for Christmas either, but I do think I have to make that easy-sounding recipe that I can't remember who posted.
Someone else mentioned that she couldn't get any thing but a smiley face to appear. I clicked on the red face but it didn't appear either. (Can't remember what those things are called. Emoticons maybe??)This message has been edited. Last edited by: CA Lori,
