    Hi all,
My son is getting married on Saturday. He wants to have the rehearsal dinner at his townhouse. We have the meal taken care of, but can anyone give me any suggestions for decorations? (He is a regular guy, saying what do you need them for) I have tried to stick to their wedding colors for table cloths, napkins, etc. Any suggestions for entranceways, table tops, or where ever? thank you all,

Well, since the dinner is so close, and it will already be a hectic week I would keep it really simple.

Assuming the dinner will be casual:

I would choose one color and go bold with it. Napkins, perhaps even paper plates and table cloths, and a simple container of flowers on each table filled with just one kind of flower in the color you have chosen.

I would use votive candles on the tables, and perhaps on the exterior stairs leading up to the front door. (One candle on each edge of each step)

As a final touch you could make a bundle of the same flowers you use inside, and tie a large ribbon around it, and attach it to the front door.

Simple and beautiful - bold color, flowers and candle light.

You could hang a heart shaped wreath with a big ribbon or bow on it on the door of the town house. Also candles in paper bags lining the walk would be lovely unless it would be too light still when the dinner starts. If you want to really go all out how about hiring a kid from a h.s. that is a really good violin player and having him/her pipe everyone into the house? You don't say where you are but one abundant and lovely arrangement of whatever flowering plant is in season in your area would be lovely in the entrance. How about a c.d. of lovely wedding music to get everyone even more in the mood?
