Well This morning it was time. Kimmi has not been getting any better. She had not eaten for 3 days, and could not move around much. Marc offered to examine here, but there was just too many signs that Kimmi was ready to go home. Marc had seen her 2 weeks ago and knew at 16 she was not getting any better. I took her into work with me and told Marc it was time. She was surrounded by people she knew and cared for her, as she took her last breath, My sweetest little girl is now with her soul mate Marcus. Kimmi was almost 16 and in a lot of pain. It was her time. She had lost 6lbs in three days. Goodbye my special girl. I will miss you terribly. You can now snuggle with your best friend "Marcus" G0D Rest your gentle soul Kimmi

My heartfelt condolences, Shelties Mom. Nothing will ever make it easier to lose one of our "special ones" - I understand - even if it is their time - it's not time for us and never will be... Cry

I'm so sorry too. I've enjoyed hearing about all of your furbabies over the years. It's just so hard when we have to let one go.

So sorry for your loss, condolences going your way. Frown

It's so hard losing a pet, 16 years is a long time to share with a furbaby. Now that she's not in pain she can rest and you can too knowing she's with Marcus.

Thank you tessa. I know it was the right decision, but like my others, it will always hurt and cause me to second guess myself. I had her for so long, she was more like a daughter....not a pet
