DH and I were sitting by the pool the other night when I saw a Blue bird fly into our Blue Bird house. We were pretty excited because we had not actually seen activity before. As we sat we saw two birds come and go. As the adult birds arrived I could hear the very loud chirping of baby birds. Yesterday I snapped this shot of the Mamma Bird guarding her house. When she left to go worming DH grabbed the digital and as quick as possible, opened the house, shot the baby picture and closed it back up. We watched afterwards, they are still feeding. If you look really close at the tail feathers of one of the babies, you can already see blue feathers.

Wow, great shot! You're so lucky to have the bluebirds. Smile

Big Grin How wonderful! As a child I remember blue birds at our mountain cabin in Colorado. My mom said that they nest in the same spot every year. So, I hope that you will have them there every year. We have a special blue bird birdhouse here, but no birds ever nest in
it. Frown I have never seen one here, either.
    Happy birding! Smile
