Bought my first roadside cantaloupe today and had forgot how June LOSES her little mind over it!! Second after I cut into it, she was all over me for a taste. I did give her JUST A FEW little pieces. While cutting melon off rind, put a chunk of it on kitchen floor!! Think she had an eyes rolling back in her head moment. I DIDN'T let her gnaw to her hearts content... figured it would probably result in nasty gastric consequences?!?

First time I ever saw a cat go ape over cantaloupe was my sister's two that she trapped as feral kittens. They were almost SCREAMING for a treat when she was cutting up a melon.

Now watermelon... not interested one BIT!?!

Yep, cats LOVE cantaloupe. Just be careful that scraps don't go in the garbage disposer. You don't want Miss June trying to grab it out!
